some fun news...
...a little update, a lot of gratitude, and a signing I’m so excited about.
In a publishing season full of highs, one moment has been standing out in my mind from the very beginning: the chance to celebrate this book in person.
Which is why I’m so thrilled to share that I’ll be signing copies of All You Have To Do at Indigo Grandview Corners in South Surrey on Sunday, November 30 from 12–3pm.
I’ve been looking forward to this not just as an author milestone, but as a chance to meet readers face-to-face, talk about stories, and see my book living its life out in the world. There’s something special about that. How it’s grounding and real in a way nothing online can match.
Last year, my signing for Can’t Take It Back felt like stepping into a dream I’d had for years. As the date for my first signing event with my second book nears, it feels different…quieter and more meaningful.
If you’re local, I would truly love to see you. Bring your copy, grab one in store, or just come by to say hello.
Please RSVP on Facebook if you’re so inclined…
Current State:
Now that the initial rush of release day has passed, I’m enjoying the experience of watching All You Have To Do find its readers. Through bookstores, libraries, Bookstagram, and those quiet, generous word-of-mouth moments which matter more than algorithms ever will.
I’ve received a few messages over the past few weeks that filled me with author joy. Notes from readers who saw themselves in Eleanor, or saw someone they loved in her, or were grateful to have a brief respite from the real world by escaping into my words. Those are the messages I’ll remember.
What I’ve been reading lately
With the busiest part of launch behind me, I’ve found my way back into my reading rhythm, and two books in particular have been keeping me great company:
• The Heartbreak Hotel by Ellen O’Clover
Beautiful, poignant and heartwarming. It’s everything you want from a romance novel. Perfection in book form.
• The Women of Wild Hill by Kirsten Miller
Sharp, funny, and full of fierce female energy. If you love stories about women supporting women, this one is a must. Miller’s novel The Change is also one of my all time favourites. If you haven’t read it, do it!
Apparently, I gravitate toward books about strong, complicated women… go figure.
What’s coming up
I’m in the stages of confirming two more signings in the New Year and trying to find a narrator. I’m also working on the audiobook for All You Have To Do, which has been such a new (but maybe fun) challenge. I hope to more on that soon.
I’ve also been sketching out ideas for winter events and slowly easing my way back to writing. No big announcements yet—but something new is taking shape, and I’m letting it come together in its own time.
Thank you for being here, for reading, for supporting this book, and for making these moments possible. I can’t wait to see some of you on November 30.
